Kendall & Kellen's Corner: Surgery Day 2

It's 2 day of surgery and Kellen is doing really well.

It was a rough night, Kellen tossed and turned all night trying to get comfortable. He was up about every 45 minutes or so. Because he sleeps on his tummy all the cords kept getting tangled around him, which really pissed him off.

Because Kellen slept on his belly the blood ran to his face making it swell even more. This was probably the worst of his swelling

Aunt Pretty finally got to hold Kellen. It was so great for Kellen to get out of that bed.

Mommy had to put Kellen back in the bed so he could be moved to his regualr room, he was not happy about it.

Finally they were able to unhook some of his lines and it was easier to get out of bed. He was so much happier when someone was holding him. Being up right helped with the swelling too.

I finally got to the hospital after school on Wednesday. I guess Kellen was really relaxed until he head my voice. He perked right up and looked around the room for me, he couldn't take his eyes off me. It was the cutest thing ever. I never knew that I made Kellen so happy!! I guess he really does love me!!!

I gave him that puppy again and it was the first time he had reached out and grabbed something. Everyone was making a pretty big deal about it. They all said it was amazing how much he changed when I walked in the room.

Kellen was finally ready to eat and drink something once I got there too. Here he is loving applesauce, he could have eaten more but Mom was afraid he's puke it all up!! But he didn't.

Konnor and I were collecting all the balloons and gifts that were sent to Kellen. If we had to stay any longer I think Kellen's crib would fly away there are so many balloons on it.

His head drain wasn't draining very well so they had to mess around with it and got it going. Everyone was excited cause they thought all the bandages were gonna be taken off but they got it fixed before so they didnt have to unwrap them, everyone was kinda disappointed.

Kellen eating some Mac&Cheese, the nurses couldn't believe now much he was eating!! Just look at the kid does it look like he misses many meals. He didn't get to eat for 36 hours, that's a lot of meals to make up!!
